This is the beginning of a collaborative exploration around the prefix 're' as a point of return, of looking back, of undoing what has been done, and redoing or doing again.
The RE- is inescapable. It's a continuous presence in performance practices and theory, reccuring in various discourses around repetition, reconstruction and reflection.
Our activity will begin with reading and researching, and creating content based on what that reveals. We would then deconstruct ‘re’ through rehearsing, rereading, rewriting, rejecting, recalibrating and repeating. Then reconstruct material through reproducing, restoring, reclaiming, regenerating and refining.
Our aim is to explore the boundaries of this concept in terms of process, form and content, and how we might challenge them.
